Strategic Plan FY26-FY31

Our strategic plan honors where we are while challenging us to grow thoughtfully and intentionally. At its core, this plan is about deepening our commitment to students and families while positioning Horizons for long term sustainability.

Goal 1: Enhance and expand offerings to provide more robust and supportive academic, social emotional, and college/career readiness programming.

·         Expand high school programming support through tutoring, internships, job shadowing, and college counseling.

·         Increase mental and social emotional support for all students.

·         Scale alumni offerings while aligning with operational capacity.

 

Goal 2: Elevate program visibility to support long term sustainability.

·          Increase development efforts to deepen awareness of our unique model and value among community stakeholders.

·           Elevate the use of data, student stories, and outcomes to demonstrate our impact with funders and stakeholders.

 

Goal 3: Strengthen and grow the relationship with our host school to foster shared commitment and pride in the program, supporting long term success for the Norwalk community.

·         Identify shared priorities and areas of mutual benefit.

·         Share program data, outcomes, and impact stories with host school stakeholders.

·         Co-brand select initiatives, events, or campus-based activities with CT State Norwalk that celebrate shared successes.

 

Goal 4: Advance organizational excellence by reinforcing strong governance practices that promote transparency, accountability, and program sustainability.

·         Ensure healthy function of the board of directors and maintain quality program staff.

·         Formalize policies and procedures where appropriate.
